Stakeholder Engagement Hub: Development of a National Campylobacter Action Plan
On behalf of the Food Regulation System , FSANZ is hosting a consultation hub for the development of an Australian National Campylobacter Action Plan. An Implementation Subcommittee for Food Regulation working group has been formed to develop recommendations for a multi-year plan to reduce illness from Campylobacter. FSANZ has assessed a proposal to consider amending the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code to require foods for sale in Australia and New Zealand to display a Health Star Rating symbol. Pursuant to section 72 of the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Act 1991 (FSANZ Act), FSANZ now calls for submissions to assist further consideration of the proposal.
