Overview

FSANZ has assessed an application made by Novozymes Australia Pty Ltd to permit the use of a protein engineered variant of glucoamylase from genetically modified Aspergillus niger as a processing aid and has prepared a draft food regulatory measure. This glucoamylase would be used as a processing aid in baking, brewing, distilled alcohol production and starch processing for the production of glucose syrups and other starch hydrolysates.

FSANZ has provided public notification and welcomes your submission to assist with consideration of the application.
