Overview

FSANZ has assessed a proposal to consider amending the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code) to clarify and define added sugars for the purposes of making claims, and prepared a draft food regulatory measure.

Changes to ‘no added sugar(s)’ nutrition content claim conditions in the Code are proposed. These conditions also apply to ‘unsweetened’ claims.

FSANZ has provided public notification and welcomes your submission on the draft food regulatory measure. Consultation papers are provided below. You can complete your submission below.
